Juvéderm® is a smooth, injectable gel and dermal filler, to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the nasolabial folds or “parentheses lines” that form from the nose to the mouth. This injectable dermal filler temporarily adds volume to the skin and gives the appearance of a smoother, more youthful skin surface. Expected results with Juvederm last nine months, and may last up to one year in some. No real down time and minimal recovery time is needed. This product is manufactured by Allergan, Inc, the makers of Botox®. It is marketed under the names: Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra XC, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Juvederm Ultra Plus XC. At The Center for Aesthetic Surgery in Des Plaines, Dr. Johnson artistically injects Juvederm with beautiful results in facial areas where volume loss appears, particularly in deep folds.
